Singapore through the eyes of Kalyra
We first went to the SEA Aquarium. There were lots of marine animals
there. We saw fish, sharks, sting rays, starfish, turtles and lots of
other animals too. We even walked through a tunnel of underwater
animals.

After
the aquarium, we went to the Adventure Cove Water Park. There was one
ride that we first went on called the floating river. You sit in tubes
that float along the river and go through caves as well as mountains.

There
were many other rides as well. There was one where you lay down on mats
and you go fast down a steep water slide. Mummy beat me in a race down
that one.

There
was a wave pool and water slide you had to go up an elevator sitting on
a two or one-seated tube to get to the top of the water slide. At the
top, you go down a fast but long water slide that is in pitch black
darkness. We didn’t get a chance to go on it, but a lady told me it was
scary.

At
the food markets, we drank a yummy lemon and lime juice and ate chicken
kebabs. It’s what the area is known for – satay kebabs. That’s why it’s
called Satay Street.

The best food of all was the cookie and cream ice cream sandwich we got from the Chinatown Markets.

At
Singapore Zoo, we had breakfast with the orangutans and had photos
taken with them. I thought it was so cool because we got to sit so close
to them as we were eating. It was funny when Mamma Orangutan walked off
holding the zoo keepers hand. The babies jump all over the trees and
branches.

There were lots of other animals at the zoo like the deer mouse, the lemurs, peacocks, and lots of birds.
I
think one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen was the light show at
Gardens By the Bay. The trees turned different colours in time to the
music. Laser lights were coming out from behind the trees which turned
different colours in patterns. It was like the trees were dancing.

We
went inside a huge dome with a massive waterfall and lots of walks that
took you to the top. On one of the walks, there were Lego plants and
flowers in the garden. My Mummy and I loved the crystal garden.

Before the light show, we walked on top of the trees along the skywalk. The views were stunning.

Dino,
our guide while we were in Singapore, was so friendly, funny and kind.
I’m so glad he showed us his beautiful Singapore home.
